Crude oil prices rose 0.39 percent to Rs 4,167 per barrel on September 11 as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude prices to trade higher.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude for delivery in September contracts was trading higher by Rs 16, or 0.39 percent to Rs 4,167 barrel in 44,871 lots.
Globally, the West Texas Intermediate was trading higher by 1.05 percent to USD 58. Meanwhile, Brent crude, the international benchmark rose 0.95 percent to USD 62.97 per barrel in New York.
